Canadian clinical practice guide 2016: treatment of acute pancreatitis

Abstract: it is reported that the incidence rate of acute pancreatitis all over the world is increasing. Although the quality of care, imaging examination and treatment technology are constantly improving, the mortality of acute pancreatitis is still high. Although the clinical practice of treating acute pancreatitis is practical, recent studies have shown that the clinical management of pancreatitis is inconsistent with evidence-based recommendation in many important places. This emphasizes the importance of creative understanding and flexible application of guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of acute pancreatitis. The purpose of this guideline is to provide evidence-based recommendations for the treatment of mild and severe acute pancreatitis and for the treatment of complications of acute pancreatitis and biliary pancreatitis.
